The shop

A family shop on West Lee Highway.

David has cut hair for more than twenty years, and the shop carries his name. He and his wife Anna own it together. Anna is a cosmetology instructor licensed by the Virginia Board for Barbers and Cosmetology, and she works the floor alongside Hope, Tammy and Amy. Between the five of them, more than eighty years behind the chair.

Men, women and kids, all in the same bright room. A skin fade and a hot towel shave in one chair, a full highlight in the next. Bring a photo on your phone or bring nothing at all. Somebody here has cut that hair before.

Questions we get asked

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes, always, seven days a week. Booking on Booksy just means you pick your time and your barber instead of waiting for one.

Do you take cards?

Yes, cards are fine.

Is there parking?

Yes. Piedmont Square has a lot right out front. We are in the same row as the UPS Store, and Dunkin' is across the plaza.

Is the shop step-free?

Yes. The entrance is level with the parking lot, so there are no steps to get in.

Do you cut kids' hair?

Yes. Children under ten have their own price, $18 for boys and $22 for girls.

Do you do women's hair, or is it just barbering?

Both, in the same room. Cuts, blow-dries, colour, partial and full highlights, balayage and ombré.

Do you still do straight razor shaves?

Yes. A hot towel first to soften the hair, then a straight razor, on the face or the head.

Which barber should I ask for?

Any of them. David, Anna, Hope, Tammy and Amy have more than eighty years behind the chair between them. Booking online lets you choose, and walking in means whoever is free.
